How to connect
1Create a Northbeam API key
In Northbeam, open Settings, choose API Keys, and click Create new API key. Northbeam shows the API key and your Client ID together.
2Open Connectors and choose Northbeam
In StefanBrain, open Connectors, find Northbeam, and click Connect.
3Paste both values and connect
The dialog asks for the API key and the Client ID. Paste both from the same key and click Connect, and StefanBrain checks them with Northbeam.
4Ask a first question
Try asking which campaigns had the best ROAS in the last seven days.
Good to know
- The dialog wants a Northbeam API key and Client ID, not your Northbeam password. StefanBrain never asks you to sign in to Northbeam.
- Unless you ask for something else, reports use the Clicks-Only model, a 1-day window, and accrual accounting, at campaign level for the last 7 days.
- Reading orders asks for your approval first, because orders hold shoppers' emails and addresses. Deleting spend rows starts switched off in tool permissions.

What can StefanBrain read from Northbeam?
Attribution reports with any metric your account offers, by platform, campaign, ad set, or ad. It also reads your metrics, attribution models, breakdown labels, orders, and the ad spend sent through Northbeam's Spend API.
Where do I find my API key and Client ID?
In Northbeam under Settings, then API Keys, where Create new API key makes both. Use the API key and Client ID from the same key.
Which attribution model does StefanBrain use?
Clicks-Only, Northbeam's model for day-to-day decisions, unless you name another. You can ask for Clicks + Modeled Views, first touch, last touch, last non-direct touch, or linear.
Why does a big report take a moment?
Northbeam builds each report as an export, which can take a few seconds or several minutes. StefanBrain waits up to 40 seconds, then checks back for the rest.
Can StefanBrain change things in Northbeam?
Yes. It can send or correct orders, add order aliases, and send ad spend for platforms Northbeam doesn't connect. These change the data Northbeam attributes from, so every write asks first.
Can I disconnect later?
Yes, one click in Connectors removes the stored key. You can also delete the key in Northbeam, which cuts off access on Northbeam's side.
